Habib Alkali is a Nigeria and UK trained lawyer with expertise in litigation, arbitration, international trade/maritime and banking/insurance services. Habib holds LLB, BL and LLM in International and Commercial Law (World Trade Specialist) from the University of Buckingham, where he graduated as one of the top candidates in his class.
He is a core transaction expert with vast experience in corporate commercial, transactions and deals structuring and litigation, having practiced in several high profile cases in both trial and appellate courts. Habib has researched extensively and has written numerous legal advisory opinions on doing business in Nigeria, financial crisis, financial services reforms and dispute resolution reforms. Habib has represented several organizations in business negotiations, alternative dispute resolution, public hearings and in deals negotiations.
As a result of his vast experience in both corporate law and practice and corporate governance, Habib sits on the Board of several blue chip companies including Prime Switch Tech Limited, Nairacheque Insurance Brokers Limited, Zindabad Limited, Winslow Logistics Limited, Ashbeth Energy Limited and acts as Company Secretary to various organizations.
